On the summer day of June 22, a Van Boekel Hog Farms slaughterhouse transportation truck headed to Fearman's Pork Inc. was stationary, Anita Krajnc, the co-founder of Toronto Pig Save, and another activist stopped to give the pigs water and document their experience. The driver confronted the two women and told them to stop giving the pigs water. While Krajnc asked the driver to show compassion, he threatened her with physical assault and called the police. Now Krajnc is being charged with criminal mischief -- interference with the use, enjoyment of and operation of property -- and fined $5,000 for showing thirsty pigs compassion. Reading this statement the my first understanding of the quote is defined as, having a society where “fantasies” are demanded by order and are also created by order. In a school in Detroit a teacher by the name of Tiffani Eaton tried to stop a fight between two students by hitting both of them with a broom. Because of her actions the school fired her, the students were suspended. In my opinion her punishment was unjustified, although I can understand the other side of the coin. Winnit wanted to put up a statue to show his religion, but he put it right in front of another religious statue. Official take it down thus making Winnit mad, so he files a lawsuit demanding to put it back up. The District court ruled in favor of the officials saying that it wasn’t a violation of freedom of exercise of religion, and if the troll was kept would act as government speech, which is a violation of the First Amendment. In the mid 1830’s, a surgeon in the U.S. army named John Emerson bought Dred Scott from Missouri to serve him while he went went off to perform his military duties. Later after moving several times, Emerson bought an enslaved female named Harriet. He permitted for the marriage of Dred Scott and Harriet and then they had two children. After Emerson died the Scotts saved money for several years in an attempt to buy their freedom from Emerson’s wife; she declined. Five of my cousins have attended Archbishop Williams High School and my grandmother and her sister also attended Archbishop Williams High School.
