Susan Cain, one of the TED speakers and also a Wall Street lawyer, starts off her TED talk "The Power of Introverts" with her experience in the summer camp when she was nine years old. Back then, whenever she tried to pull out a book from her suitcase full of book that her mother had prepared for her to go to the camp, she "got the message that somehow [her] quiet and introverted style of being was not necessarily the right way to go and that [she] should be trying to pass as more of an extrovert" either from her campmate, her camp counselor, or possibly many other people from her other 50 stories.
