Susan B Anthony had once said. “Men, their rights, and nothing more; women, their rights and nothing less”. (Brainy Quotes) During the time of 1848 there was a group of women that gathered in Seneca Falls, New York; to discuss the issues of women’s rights. At that moment men's rights were exposed to many countries at the time, no matter the wealth that they had. Women began fighting for equal rights. The women got together and talked about that all the women's deserve all the rights and responsibilities just like the men. First, Women’s Suffrage at the time was also called the (Women’s Movement) it was mainly focused on having the women have rights, for voting and being able to run for government offices. In 1920, the vote for women to have equal rights just like the men, they are allowed to run for the political areas in our world now that it was passed. This has impacted much of life now, women are allowed to work any job that they would, for a couple years us women were getting paid 77 cents less than the men. Even if we were working in the same area, for the same amount of time, mostly colored women who would get payed 61 cents for every dollar that was earned by a man. But there are many things that are wrong still in our society, women must pay more for their beauty products; due to the fact that our society is basically telling us to spend more money on items that will make us more “beautiful”. Men, however frankly pay way less, on the same protects that might be for the same use. But since 1920, women have way more education options than before. In conclusion, the women suffrage is very important to the time that we live in right now. If those ladies, Susan B. Anthony and Elizabeth Cady had not decided to make this group stop slavery and have equal rights for women. Our society right now, would be different, women would not be able to do what they are right now; women are becoming such big role models for many young women.
