According to those who have attended high school, high school will be the best and the worst four years of any high schoolers life. It will be the worst because of the work load and the difficulty of the courses, and it will be the best because it will create friendships that will last a lifetime. For those just entering high school, there are three key components to surviving high school. For example, having a life outside of high school is an important factor that can help students survive school. Without having a social life outside of school, it is hard to get through highschool without feeling unmotivated. I recommend for anyone just starting out in high school to join clubs they are interested in, so they have something in school that they look forward to doing in school. This will help keep students motivated in school which is vital when it comes to getting through school. Setting goals and expectations in hard classes or just in school in general, will help students stay motivated in school. For example, an example of a goal high schooler can set is making it on high honor roll or planning on having a certain grade point average in order to get into their college of choice. Instead of doing their work just to get it done, students will work towards achieving their goals rather than doing their schoolwork aimlessly without any end goal in mind. After achieving a goal, another way to keep students motivated is by having them reward themselves for the hard work they did in order to achieve a milestone in school. Occasionally celebrating the success of one’s high school career is necessary to show that their hard work really does deserve to be acknowledged. Joining a study group can help high schoolers stay motivated by gaining support from their peers. …show more content…

Kids just starting out in high school shouldn’t fret about how much work school is going to be because, like every new routine people try, they will ll get used to it. By being concentrated on school, having organizational skills, and being motivated, students will be able to achieve anything in high school if they really put their mind to
