Surviving Antarctica Book Report

There are leaders and followers in this world the leaders go and do different things than other people. But followers do the things that leaders do, but not as well. Leaders lead and show how they can do thing without anyone’s help, I also call that an MVP.we would not be able to live without leaders in this world. In a book I read Surviving Antarctica, there are five teens that are traveling to the South Pole, “like scott and his men” to risk their lives to get MVP, when you get MVP you get $90,000 but either way you get $10,000 if you live. Robert deserves MVP because he leaded most of the way to the South Pole, and much more.

In the beginning of the book (chapter 31 page 368) Robert did not really care for Andrew when he fell in the crevices but he still did at the same time, the reason he did not care is because he told polly not to go out to try to find him. But the reason is because he was hurt and so was andrew “at least he knew,” and he did not want anyone else to get hurt. This scene Robert looked careless he just did not want anyone else to get hurt.
Also Robert deserves MVP because he kept on to the South Pole to accomplish youngest person making it to the South Pole and to say he did that. In (chapter 35 page 402) Robert decided to stay and make it to the pole, with Grace. This is the reason i think Robert deserves MVP, because he did not chicken out of making it to the South Pole. Robot is a strong leader and deserves MVP! In the book Surviving Antarctica Robert showed that he deserves MVP. Robert was being a spectacular leader but Billy,
Polly and Andrew would be followers. Robert wanted the snow sicle to run so bad he took the risk of going back across the snow bridge and A possibility of falling through. Would you be Robert and be a leader to go try to fix the snow sicle?
