The author Laura Hillenbrand wrote the book UNBROKEN: A WORLD War II Story of Survival, Resilience, and Redemption. The book was published November 16, 2010. In the book, there is a character named Louis Zamperini he is an amazing runner and he is fast. Zamperini had many challenges through his early on years of life and was figuring everything out. He went through some tragic challenges after he was done with the running career that he had started and went on to something else that was beneficial. Zamperini has many kinds of special strengths that he used to make it out of the plane crash. Zamperini was in the plane crash and was in this horrific situation for almost seven weeks. There were others also on the plane some died and some of them lived. Zamperini was watching men die right in front of him. He had very little food and water. He had drifted about 2,000 miles in the water but it wasn’t that much better for him because he was caught as a prisoner of war. Louis Zamperini kept going for what he believed what was the right thing for himself and didn’t change it.
Louis Zamperini was enabled to survive POW. It helped Zamperini out because of all the help they got from each other. Everyone would look out for each other and it wasn’t so much of them just on their own they had each other as help, support, and guidance. Zamperini had to deal with many things he had to deal with having nightmares, and violence and many other things that he had to overcome and didn’t struggle with those things anymore. He had lack of food, shelter, and had poor hygiene. No person should have to go through all of that or even any of
