This experience was of great value; it gave me insight to a fundamental process that is essential in the area of end of life care. The life review process is a necessary intervention that allows us to assist the patient in reaching a sense of meaning, peace, and wholeness, consequently, allows them to accept death without fear. The most significant part for me was looking at family pictures, witnessing her nonverbal reactions as she glanced through them, recalling what was going on at that moment in time, almost as if she was there now.
