With those vague definitions anyone can be defined as a terrorist and terrorism could be pursued by any being at any moment on a too bad of a day. This has lead to thought that Surveillance of the people is meant to morally protect the people from danger of any threat by 360 degrees. Do the American people really know if they are being watched by the eagle eye of surveillance or is it more of a panic that secrets will be visible to the public (Westacott, 2010). As an American citizen it is easy to ignore that there are other countries that use mass media and surveillance in order to find information on residence and there are areas outside the states that do not question the increased surveillance.
