This is not a case where you can swipe your credit card to buy items, and then bring it back to the store to return. Additionally, this practice may have the potential to exploit women since “surrogate sellers have less wealth and are more emotionally vulnerable than buyers. Along the process for these women may also cause much psychological and emotional stress that they must bear. The child could also face health risks as well, even if guidelines are set for what the surrogate may consume or activities she can and cannot partake in, any consequences could arise. Therefore, it is truly a decision that should not be taken lightly.…

“In 1965, illegal abortions made up one-sixth of all pregnancy – and childbirth – related deaths” (“Abortion Access”). This justifies that if abortion isn’t legal, then those who want to get rid of the fetus will perform illegal abortions such as self-abortion. As a result, those who perform self-abortion will end up harming themselves. Although many are against abortion because they consider it evil/inhumane, it should be legal because the mother could have been raped, have a disabled fetus, or have an unwanted pregnancy.…

Sex surrogacy is seen as a highly controversial form of sex therapy. There have been claims made against it claiming that it is too similar to prostitution, and therefore should be considered illegitimate because it is perceived as being immoral. It has also been put into question because many think that the intimacy shared in this process can become problematic for those involved because they may develop feelings that can be damaging in the long run. Overall, I think that sex surrogacy is a questionable practice. I do not necessarily believe that it should be illegal, but I do not believe that it should be widely practiced either.…
