Speaking of those with high accolades, surprise surprise Brie Gagen was one of the accused. Now I have long suspected her of cheating, especially in physics. She has received A+ after A+ which is not really possible, because there is so much to go wrong in physics. Even an extra decimal or a wrong label will deduct points and she got three perfect scores on physics tests: not possible. I understand some of the cheater’s points, they are just trying to stay afloat in Calculus, it doesn’t excuse their actions, but desperation makes people do crazy things. Moving schools away from all of my friends should’ve been an appalling experience, surprisingly, it was a blessing in disguise. I went to Agnes Baptist Elementary from kindergarten to 5th grade and I had friends that I've known since I was 3. I loved it there and knew the school like the back of my hand. Everything was superior, like most good things, though there were times where they weren’t, I was harassed by a bully almost everyday, my grades were getting inadequate, and my mom didn’t want me to be a sad, disconsolate 7th grader at a new junior high. In the result, I moved and I went to Savage Middle School, a school that had 6th, 7th, and 8th graders.…

Although I have never cheated myself, I can honestly see the appeal in taking shortcuts when deadlines pile up with no end in sight. Critics of those who cheat can easily point at a cheating student and discuss how poor of a student they are, but the critics never stop to consider the amount of pressure a student truly is under. Cheating has always been considered a terrible act that shows poor character, however, what acts are considered cheating and are not are often fuzzy to students.…
