Such a deadly illness exists, constantly ripping the life away from countless loved ones, which is exactly what happened to me. My inspiration refused to strike until years later; however, it slightly began with my aunt’s fearsome battle against cervical and lymphatic cancer. Everything I have overcome has inspired me to become a doctor, so I can heal others; more specifically, watching others experiencing overcome similar obstacles encouraged me to become a surgical oncologist.
I applied to the Academy of Science and Health Professions during junior high, already containing a generalized idea of what I wanted to do. Once I knew I wanted to follow the path of medicine, I scheduled the Health and Science Technologies class in order to learn
