Surgical Nurse Personal Statement

I admire your expertise as a medical surgical nurse. I remember years ago; new graduates were required to work 2 years on the medical surgical floor. As a new graduate, I knew I was not ready for adult care and this was one of the reasons I chose to work with infants, along with others. However, I am so thankful for nurses like you, who choose this area of nursing.

Being a surgical technologist can be hard work; not only should a technician watch after all patients, but must keep a check on themselves. A technician needs to remain as stress free as possible, always making sure all body mechanics are in order. Forgetting to do this can lead to emotional stress, which has a negative effect on the body. A surgical technician not in full control of himself causes things to go wrong in the operating room. I aspire to gain professional experience in the field of nursing, because of personal experiences that have led me to select this career. My passion for care-taking within the nursing realm stems from a passion at young age to render aid and experiences very dear to my heart. My care-taking skills began while I was caring for children at church, as an assistant to both the Children’s and Youth Department. When a child would arrive ill, I would make sure that little contact was made with other children to contain the illness. I also made sure the child would wash their hands thoroughly before consuming meals and would take an additional precaution of washing down tables and toys to diminish the spread of germs.…

Maybe “R” stood for “reasoning.” According to me, there was no other effective way to deal with life.…
