I, like any other student interested in biological science, began volunteering at a hospital. When I started working there, I had a preconceived notion that volunteering at a hospital meant I would be a part of a medical team and do something related to science. It is this supposedly naive viewpoint which actually ended up turning an average high school volunteering experience into one of my most significant learning experiences.

My next step after graduating high school is majoring in neuroscience at the University of Texas at Austin, where I plan to partake in research projects, and continue to volunteer at a local hospital. Subsequently, my goal is to go to a top ranked medical school and get matched into a residency program that will complement my desire to learn and grow. Eventually, after medical school, I intend on being an interventional radiologist, working at a level one trauma center teaching
