However, it has occurred to me that people who assume that self-care is an excuse to be lazy, probably have never struggled with the simple concepts of taking a shower, brushing their teeth, (and don't get me started on flossing) wearing makeup and taking it off at the end of the day, washing dirty clothes and folding them in the drawer, changing their msheets, preparing meals, and keeping their living space clean and comfortable. These are nice things to do once in a while. But if they become the definition of self-care, then, I agree, they are lazy and not healthy all of the time. Certainly, these things are a nice special treat, but they are not close to what I would call self care. I genuinely wish that the author of this article is correct in saying that self-care is lazy. I hope that some day, no one will struggle with the things that I do. But right now, self-care is, essentially, taking care of yourself. Making sure that you do everything that is nessicary to a healthy lifestyle. So please take care of yourself. Don't follow my example of how to live, and don't tell people that self-care is just a rediculous excuse to be
