To get the most out of surfing for the first time, the beginner would need to take some time to prepare and find out the expectations involving surfing. There are many preparation lists out there for a beginner before he or she should get their feet wet. First, when preparing to take the first plunge into the surf, having a basic fitness will help maximize the enjoyment experience and escalate the time spending surfing the waves. The four conditioning exercises a beginner should develop are; warm-ups and down, core stability, upper and lower body, and flexibility (Surfing Waves). Although, fitness is important for surfing and not done overnight, the second important part of preparing to learn how to surf is getting surf lessons from a surf
