I agree with Mr. Francis’ statement in saying that it was not appropriate for Trump to refer to the NFL football players who are protesting with derogatory terms. Despite the fact that he does not feel it is appropriate for them to protest, he still must refer to them with respect because he is the President of the United States. As President he can’t be immature and refer to them using derogatory terms especially considering they weren’t breaking any rules. These NFL players were making a statement by peacefully protesting and exercising their freedom of speech. To be childish and call them that and say they should be fired for protesting is beneath a President. Not to mention, he called white supremacists in Charlottesville “very fine people”.
