The first and one of the most important is ensuring that the child’s name or sex is not identified. Give the child an alias name or do not mention Child A’s name and instead of saying he or she say, they or their. A practitioner should always get the parent of the child that they wish to observe permission before doing so and not discuss the child’s personal information to anyone inside or outside of the work place.
Respect for Parents and Other Adults:
An important role of the practitioner is to respect the wishes and views of parents and other carers, even if you disagree with them. Parents are also normally the people who know their children best therefore you must respect their views, you must also show respect for their cultural values and religious beliefs at all times.

• One every child within the team has finished the activity they will be allowed to move onto the next station. At each station a different child from the group will perform the activity first to ensure that the activities are fair.
• Finally, all children will choose their favourite activity and perform it for five minutes before going back into the setting.
The Expected Outcome of the Activity:
The aim of the activity is to encourage children to participate in more physical activities to help them keep healthy. The activity should be very effective because all the activities included were chosen from the most frequently used items at play times. This will not only help the children to realise that physical activity can be fun but that there are various different things you can do to keep active. The activity will help to teach the children that healthy lifestyles are important because some of the children will noticeably become tired quicker than others. This will help to explain to the children that if they do not keep active they may not be as healthy as they need to be. The activity will help to introduce new physical activities to the children that they can introduce to their parents or carers when they are out and

Everyone should be treated with dignity. For example you could listen to the child, include them in conversations, and make them feel safe. The child might not sense it as much as an adult but the parents and everyone in the workplace will show that you think the child is worthy and valued and not to be different for who they are. During my work placement I can follow all these ways to take dignity and respect into account in all physical care routines even if I’m just watching or helping out…

Another policy that supports development and play is the physical development policy at nursery, which says physical play and development are to be encouraged. This policy ensures that children have access to physically challenging activities in the indoor and outdoor areas within the nursery. This means that there should be physically challenging equipment, games and activities available that are suitable for all the children at the nursery, which means there should be equipment suitable for children aged 0 to 1 years 11 months, aged 2 to 2 years 11 months and children aged 3 to 5 years. For the children aged 0 to 1 year 11 months, simple activities like walking and running can be a challenge so games of chase with a practitioner can encourage and support the children to run and play, which in turn teaches them to be careful whilst running, or they will fall over. For children aged 2 to 2 years 11 months, a slide…

The first skill needed that is vial is good communication skills in order to be able to communicate with other professionals, other staff working in your category, the child and their family. It's important to have good communication skills when talking to parents as they may be difficult to talk to, they may be going through a lot themselves and may not have trust, but if I adopt good listening skills and learn how to speak in an appropriate manner, it could go smoother. I will need good communication skills in order to be able to speak to the child, If I don’t the child may not open up and they could keep their feelings bottled away, trust could also be lost. If I don’t communicate with other professionals, information could be lost about the child and their family and I could come to a wrong conclusion, this could end badly for the child and family. Communication is important to build relationships and gain trust.http://aib.edu.au/blog/6-reasons-effective-communication-focus-business/…

For the recreational exercises, I had suggested balloon volleyball since I saw that as a common exercise done in many nursing homes. The other exercise was to throw plastic Easter eggs into a cups from varying distances. The objective of these was to increase hand and eye coordination, socialization, and provide a light to moderate workout. The nutritional education focused on visual examples of meal portions and what types and amount of foods they should be eating at their age. To execute this part, Taylor had used the hand method to measure foods and brought in papers they could hang on the wall or bulletin about foods.…

We make sure that children are safe from having any accidents. We ensure that we maintain a hygienic and safe environment for children, parents and staff. We ensure and participate in improving each child's physical, social, emotional, intellectual development by observing them and having an interest in what they do. We prevent from having any discrimination and/or stereotyping in our nursery by respecting all of the cultures/background, religion, race, children with special needs. By preventing children from discriminating we have different culture dressings, different cultures (pretend plastic food) in the role play area and displays of different cultures, pictures of people/children with different races, special need people and we have different cultures/religions symbols.…

Pre-Birth to 3 The Pre-Birth to 3 document is a guideline put in place by Learning Teaching Scotland for children in the womb to age 3. This was previously Birth to 3 but was changed in 2010 to Pre-Birth to 3 as new research found that children learn in the womb before births, such as recognising sounds and smells. Many organisations were involved in this change, such as midwives, health visitors and the NHS as a whole. Also researchers such as Suzanne Zeedyke and Robin Balbernie were involved in the change from learning in the womb and language respectively.…
