b. Duties, Responsibilities and Authority: The unit Storekeeper is responsible for budgeting and accounting for, purchase/requisition, receipt, inspection, issue, stowage and preservation, packaging, shipment, disposal of, reutilization, and performance of inventory control for all property and materiel belonging to the unit.

• The Supply Petty Officer is designated as the unit’s Primary Card Holder and is responsible for verifying that all purchases are made in accordance with ref (e). All purchase shall be made within 24 hours of being approved by the Funds Manger in FPD unless otherwise approved by the XPO. From time to time you may be notified

The Supply Petty Officer will also be responsible for the units Operating Materials and Supplies (OM&S). Ensuring that unit is in compliance with SFLC Fleet Logistic System (FLS) Physical Inventory Process Guide (CGTO PG-85-00-1630-S).

• The Supply Petty Officer shall maintain an accurate track of the unit’s budget within proper limits and spend down requirements.

• Unit Storekeeper Collateral Duties and Responsibilities:

The unit Storekeeper is responsible as the Unit’s Approving Official for T-PAX to verify all TAD/TDY travel and maintain an accurate Travel Claim folder. The Storekeeper shall also ensure that all personal at the unit have an up to date travel card.

o He is the unit’s Administration Liaison with the Unit SPO at Sector Corpus Christi.

o He is designated as the unit’s Postal Clerk and is responsible for all mail metering, postage machine and supplies, and maintaining proper records and reports for COMMANDANT (CG-61) MAIL PROGRAM as required.

o He is the unit’s MAA and is responsible for working with the on duty OOD to maintain the overall cleanliness of the Station’s Command Offices, 8 duty rooms, all common areas, laundry room, and weight
