RFID is a software system that keeps track of confidential information being dispersed throughout the hospital and satellite centers. For example, this software allows transfer of data from our satellite hospital from California to Philadelphia. Traditional PACS system can take up to days before patient information is transferred. RFID is self-operated, it learns and adapts accordingly and no need of human intervention. According to technical staff of RFID at my hospital, the software can be reprogrammed, adjusted and tweaked as per needed. RFID offer accurate and real time data and ability to track various information and data throughout the organization.
