When steam vigorously streamed out of the cans, it was a sign that the water was boiling. Each bowl was filled half up with icy water, while the cans were heating up. When the water began to boil, the tongs were used to grab a can and place it up right into the water. Then the other can was picked up by the tongs and placed upside-down into the water. When the first can was put in the water right side up, the ice in the bowl began to melt, and the can flopped over to the side so it had to be held up with the tongs, but other than that, nothing much happened.
