Title is RN Supervisor Neurosurgery. Responsible for the Neurosurgery OR nurses and surgical techs. Coordinate staff schedule, supplies, instrumentation, surgeon requests and preferences, and facilitate the surgery schedule each day. Collaboration with other departments to ensure the OR needs are met.
How would you describe your role in your clinical setting?
The role is dynamic and is dependent on the day. I ensure the OR team has the appropriate support, equipment, and instrumentation needed for the day. I do a lot of behind the scenes work anticipating the needs of the day and troubleshooting any potential issues.
