I think the SuperTracker program is a very useful tool. The program allows you to keep track of your daily diet and to add in your activity level daily and you can see how many calories you are taking in and how many calories you are burning through physical activity. I think a program such as this can help a person be more accountable for what they eat. Personally, I have a problem with taking a bite of food here and there during the day. I do not always realize how many calories add up by doing that. I made an account with SuperTracker, and it gave me options for a personalized health diary. According to the program, I have to stay below 2,000 calories a day and exercise 150 minutes a week. If I do this, I will lose two pounds a week. According to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (2015), for long-term weight loss success, a person should lose 1-2 pounds a week. For example, I had two hard boiled eggs for breakfast. I logged the eggs in for my breakfast, and the eggs were put into the protein lists for the day. It also allows me to add whether I put salt on the eggs (which I did) and it logged my sodium content for breakfast. So, not only does the program keep track of all my foods. It will also break down all the sodium and fats I

Personally I have never taken advantage of monitoring my daily activity and diet. This most likely is because I have always had a routine created for me to follow through my athletics, but this nutrition analysis assignment forced me to actually record my daily habits. Now that I have done it I can see firsthand all of the benefits that come with monitoring daily routines, and after analyzing my diet and activity…
