Supernatural: It's Not as Scary as it Sounds

"I realize that the only way we've made it through it all this is by hanging together." - Dean Winchester

When I was 10 years old my dad introduced me to this television show on The CW Network called Supernatural. He thought it was something that would interest a strange kid like me. Back then I was kind of freaked out by all the gory guts and blood. Now, I see more. I see that it just wasn't about killing the vampire next door or stopping Lilith from starting the apocalypse and raising Lucifer, aka Lucy, from hell. The show was about loyalty, friendship, and never giving up no matter what is thrown your way. The two main characters, Sam and Dean, who has been through a lot from a young age

They might think that he's bad influence. I can admit that, yes, he sometimes rude (a lot of the time), when he does things doesn't think about the consequences and etc. But, there is ten times more stuff good that I can say than the bad. The major thing is that he's always putting his life on the line to save others, if that doesn't mean anything then i don't know what does. He is so sensitive and has a big heart, like if he's on a case and he doesn't save the person he was there attempting to same, he would feel really guilty about happened even though there was no way to be able to save them anyway. He cares so much about family and believes in sticking together and staying with family and family is all you have, I look up to Dean because of those many reasons and more. Risking his life to save other people just really intrigues me.All i can think is : “Why risk your life for people who don't appreciate it?” “What make you think that saving the world will help these humans?”. If he wanted, he could've had a normal life, Lived with the love of his life, not have to worry about if he is being hunted down by some evil force trying to kill him everyday, if that's not admirable then I don't know what is. Another thing I admire him for is that he would do anything to save the people

After reading the essay from my partner, Olivia Rodriguez, I’ve been able to gain a much stronger insight on the judicial system and how society affects which type of evidence was approved as lawful evidence. I interpreted Olivia’s paper as that she was trying to argue is that during colonial times, sceptical evidence, such as supernatural or racist evidence, was approved in cases even though they were clearly invalid. If someone had a vendetta against someone of a lower class than your own, they could easily create incredible evidence without the consequences that came along with lying to effectively sentence anyone they wanted. In the opening paragraph, Olivia states how supernatural evidence was accepted in religious communities because of the that that the quakers believed that spirits would transfer messages to the living. As Olivia’s point was developed throughout…

The definition of media is any format or platform that carries, presents, or communicates information, so everything surrounding us would be considered media. A certain type of media that I will relate back to sociology would be a television show titled One Tree Hill. The show is based around different high school kids and how the love of basketball and the love of the players makes them come together. The show itself, is centered around two half-brothers and how one is considered an outcast, Lucas and the other is considered royalty, Nathan. When Lucas makes the basketball team, Nathan isn't exactly his greatest fan in fact Lucas goes through a round of bullying before he is finally accepted onto the team.…

There is a fascination with the paranormal and ghostly phenomena; it speaks to our deepest most innate fears that some things go unexplained. Most of us have a basic need as humans to know that there is more out there, that this can’t be all there is. As much as the skeptics want to explain it all away, some things seem to have no rational explanation, and this is a hard concept to swallow. Therefore, so much paranormal phenomena are easily dismissed…

Analysis of American Horror Story: Freak Show In class we have learned about many different aspects of disability. In American Horror Story: Freak Show (Freak Show), there were many themes shown throughout that touched on material we have talked about in class. Freak Show illustrates the medical and sociopolitical models of disability, uses terms that are deemed inappropriate or unacceptable by the disability community, and represents people with disabilities in the media. I have read several articles claiming the show to be a disgrace to those with disabilities, but each author of various articles claimed to have not watched even a full episode.…

“I will not let my days slip away, I will stand up on to feet, and I’ll be complete.” ~Blixemi It all started when I was in second or third grade. I always seemed different and off from most girls and had a lot of friends that were female, which was normal in elementary, to have same-gender friends. Though I had so many friends to play with, I always seemed to wander to where the boys hung out. Usually, I would mess around with my younger brother’s friends.…
