In the third stage, Supernatural aid, the character accepts the quest and begins. The stages introduces a helper who appears to help the hero through the beginning if the quest. In Paradise Lost, Satan experiences characteristics of a hero as he was once an angel who fell from heaven. Satan’s journey to Eden demonstrates a perfect example of call to adventure as he tempts eve into wrong evil doings. He transforms into a snake and bribes Adam and Eve to eat from the forbidden tree in the Garden of Eden. His supernatural aid are the fallen angels who lurk into wrongdoings. According to the poem, they are the slaves to Satan’s accomplishments. In the poem The Second Coming, the poet addresses the spiritus mundi (a collective spirit of mankind)
