Superman Hero's Journey

This week got me thinking more about superheroes and how they are who they are. Like every hero's story all start the same and they somehow end similar as well. I think this is pretty weird but cool at the same time because that concept is so versatile. Like how most superhero are created to face a fear that people in reality have like immigration, phobias, and social status. I learned that cultural plays a big part of the superhero storytelling also. The story of a superhero can be impacted by the writers own culture like for example the story of Superman was written by two jewish guys and how their parents were facing the living in a new country life, and that influenced the story of Superman. Also I learned that all heroes have a hero’s journey or the steps of the story of the hero. So we were grouped up into a group of three’s and were giving many scenarios. But first in our group we discussed more about superheroes and the hero journey. We took turns explaining about it using our prior knowledge on the subject. Then Ms. Parker went over all the scenarios with us explaining the situation and the product requirement for each of the scenarios. We are required to pick one of the scenario and finish the task individually, but can discuss and help with each other. My choice for the assignment would be the origin story or scenario five because it seems like the easiest of the bunch. For this scenario I am suppose to inspire young reader by making a new superhero comic book with a new origin story also. This origin story must include cultural values and must be based on what I believe is important in my life. The requirement for the assignment is 800-1000 words each scenario. So I need to come up an idea of an origin story in 800 words while also telling a good story at the same
