The introvert part of myself did not allow me to handle the open opportunities that were available to me the way it was supposed to be handled. I had to face difficulties because of my lack of self-confidence and the way I blocked myself when I am around people. I have never been really obsessive about something in particular so I always put myself down and believed that I got no talent. Soon after I just allowed myself to accept as true and which is still true that keeping up with my education is the only thing that could help me define who I really am. After graduating from high school, I knew the upcoming days were not going to be easy because I was required to have a lot of paper works done in regard to my college destination. My parents wanted me to study abroad but at the same time were not so confident about it knowing the introvert self-reserved person. So being someone who wants to succeed in life and just see education as a road to success for not having something to be interested in, I threw myself to challenge by working in a small enterprise where I was supposed to assist people, retrieve the issue they have or what they came to get in the store and send them to a technician who can solve their device problem. I pushed myself hard to have things to tell to the customers, the people I worked with, and not be scared. For a whole summer, everything sorted out well. I figured out that life is not about myself and they are people out there that are willing to help you whenever you need help. Starting by acknowledging what I wanted in some way pushed and taught me that there is always a departure for anything accomplishable in life and maybe not knowing where I think I should end up should never stop me to pursuit what I have already put myself

Colin Cowherd, a radio show host known for his commentary on sports and scandals, discusses the fragility of reputation in a race sensitive, contemporary society in his essay, “The Saddest Superhero.” Using Marxist theory to analyze Cowherd, I seek to answer if dominant social structures restrain racism, or perpetuate discrimination through ignorance? The discussion and consideration of how racism is approached in contemporary society will reveal Marxist principles of dominant ideologies within society being reinforced in artifacts. In modern politics, the representation, presentation, and discrimination of a race is consistently discussed, however, the structures of culture and society that perpetuate these issues are not acknowledged. Marxist theory enables critics to deconstruct the content of artifacts to reveal the implicit messages that reflect society’s values and opinions, which can be used in Cowherd’s essay.…

When thinking about the genre of short memoirs there are several aspects to consider. Thus, ensuring the reader’s expectations are met and the writing is easily recognizable as a memoir. Therefore, I have decided to focus on the specific conventions that work to enhance and further the overall purpose of the piece, and ultimately to fulfill those expectations. In order to determine if the work that I created is worthy of being considered a short memoir, I chose to use the following memoirs “Superman and Me” by Sherman Alexie and “Salvation” by Langton Hughes for comparison.…

Change is something that isn’t instantaneous, and I do not want to rush into something that I am not. The way I deal with problems is by acceptance and evaluation. I simply work towards understanding my issues, and then I resolve them by improving my flaws in regard to the standards I have set for myself.…

Because God always existed in reality and understanding, created the universe and things in the universe, God is also the Intelligent Designer (will use Creator as a shorter term). If something exists, it has an intended purpose because it was created by God, who neither requires or needs a purpose to exist nor to have a purpose for things to exist. All things that exist or will exist in the universe were created by God for a puipose. Whether a specific or undefined purpose is irrelevant to human reasoning, the Creator has a purpose for all things and therefore, all things were created by God for a distinct purpose.…

I think back to the year 2003. It was my first time stepping foot into a public school. All of my life up until my transition into public school education was spent comfortably in a private school with friends and teachers whom I grew up with from kindergarten to seventh grade. That day started a battle that I would continuously have with myself for seven grueling years. As an extrovert, the pain of feeling like I could not be my true self was excruciating.…
