In order for Bruce Wayne to implement his own brand of justice and provide Gotham with the hope necessary for their development as a society, he had to essentially sacrifice his own ignorance to the world after being stripped of his childhood. Despite escaping death, Bruce Wayne had undergone a "rebirth" through the teachings of Ra's Al Gul which provides the hero with newly found knowledge and courage that would allow him to defeat the darkness that has plagued Gotham throughout the years. Due to his newly discovered abilities, Batman dedicated both his mind and body to others by battling a variety of villains in order to ensure that the people of Gotham would have the opportunities of hope and happiness that he failed to truly experience. Bruce Wayne had followed the archetype of both a hero and a victim of God because he chose to embrace his own tragedy by becoming the legendary Batman in order to protect and ultimately guide others from outside…

Immigration Beyond Ellis Island Kazi I. Hossain Kazi Hossain is a professor in the Education department at Millersville University, Millersville, PA. The major focus of the text is that teaching aimed at developing an appropriate awareness of the immigration process is essential in K-12. The reading was assigned to give us an updated discussion on immigration, one that centers on the legal process and experiences of a modern day American immigrant. The text was a good source of immigration policy, however, my highschool did spend a considerable amount of time teaching and making us discuss modern immigration policy and issues.…

Marvel takes on Dc When it comes to superheroes there would be only two series that would come to the mind of any human that takes an interest in them. Those two series are marvel which represents the characters such as the incredible Hulk, Iron man, and Captain America, but Dc Comics which represents Superman, Batman, and Wonder Woman. Fans of the two series invest money, time and attention into these topics just off the character alone. Even though it may not seem like it, there are differences, similarities, and comparisons. There 's crossovers, who can beat who, and the fans want to see more, and where there powers originate from.…

Christopher Nolan's The Dark Knight is one of the best iterations of Batman since the concept of Batman was first created in 1939; the film offers easy to digest bites of philosophy and a deeper look into human nature. At the same time, The Dark Knight provides insight into society's views on mental illness, what society believes mental illness looks like, and society's views toward the justice system. The Dark Knight is the highest grossing Batman film since the first Batman movie (ironically named Batman: The Movie) in 1966, and was even awarded "Movie of the Year" by AFI Awards. Despite the film's success and acclaim, what does The Dark Knight say about society's views on mental illness and our justice system?…

The character of Batman is considered to be one of the world’s classic and modern day superhero. His story has taken on many different forms from comics, to TV series, and to today’s modern cinematography. However, I want to discuss the story of Batman and its famous characters based off of the 2000’s version of the current films. We have all come to know Batman as a vigilante who fights bad people as he conceals his true identity as Gotham’s renowned playboy and millionaire, Bruce Wayne. I want to use the personas of Bruce Wayne, Batman, and the well-known villains of this universe because of how they relate to the many ideas used in psychology.…

I agree because superman stands for the America dream, belief system, religious myths and the importance of immigration to America. Superman is so darned American because he is an immigrant from a different planet to earth, to the United States for that matter. He has many characteristics that are similar to that of other immigrants. In order to fit into the American society, he had to adjust to the norms and culture. His name was changed from Kal-el to an American name Clark Kent and he had to act just like every…

Although fictional, Superman became the figure for doing everything that people began to wish the government would have done during a time of disaster. This explained the rise to popularity of the Superman character as the character was quickly purchased by the top comic company in the 30’s, DC Comics (Kistler). Symbolism is another significant portion in Bruce Wayne’s life as Batman. Freud would say that not only were Bruce’s dreams forms of symbolism, but also, more significantly and recognizably, Batman’s Batsuit and name. As previously stated, Bruce came up with the batsuit when seeing a swarm of bats. He then decided on the name because he felt that villains would also fear bat, as they are a symbol of the night. Another form of analysis that Freud could make about Batman and his life is by using his idea of the doctrine of opposites.…

Looking from the other side how come Batman still remains to be such a fascinating superhero whose fame isn’t fading regardless not possessing the superhuman powers? So, naturally :-), I decided to compare these two superheroes in several categories and then to decide which one is better. 1. Round 1-The Technology; Every true fan of Batman knows that this superhero possesses a very wide range of the most various hi-technology equipment, due to the fact that Bruce Wayne is a wealthy man, which money can be put to good use when fighting off Superman. Well, looking from the other side, Superman has the mighty kryptonite, despite that fact in a classic adaptation of the comic book “Batman: The Dark Knight Returns, Part 2”, we actually have the opportunity to see that Batman was farther than able to go toe-to-toe with Superman by using its super- powered mechanical…
