Observations:
The whole trial process of this case was about 10 minutes. During this process, I could see that the defendant, Lee Mason Eigl was nervous. Most of the time, Lee Mason Eigl faced down. When the judge was not asking him questions, he would not look at the judge.
Megan Burns, as the defence attorney of Lee Mason Eigl, on the other hand, was pretty confidence. She tried her best to speak out the points that she believed would help Lee Mason Eigl. She was very confidence in the whole time. I feel like being attorneys, no matter they were in the defence side or plaintiff's side, they have to be very confidant in order to make the judge, jury and their clients believe in them.
On the other hand, I could not feel too much about the representative of the San Francisco District Attorney Office. She didn’t have any facial expression. I feel like for the DA office, this is a routine job process. They didn’t have any feelings for the defendant or the 13-year-old girl in the case. They just provided what they had to the judge and waited for the next court scheduled.
For the judge, I think he was doing what he could do. Hearing and collecting all the information he needed. Then he used his professional knowledge to put a statement on this

First advice is that students need to look at the court calendar two weeks ahead before they go to the courts. In this way, they can choose the case they are interested in. Looking at the calendar ahead can also help them to plan ahead and make sure they can attend to the court. The second advice is that students should not bring too many things when they visit the court. As people known, there is a security check in the court and if people bring too many stuffs, it will bring inconveniences to the security check process. The third advice is that students should pay respect to the court and during the process, students should not talk to others or answer cell phones. Please remember to put the cell phones in silent mode or turn them off. Students should be respectful to the judge and jury. Finally, when students sit in the courtroom, they should try to sit in the front rows if they can. Otherwise, they might not be able to hear what the judge and attorneys say during the

The record in their case also establishes that neither attorney challenged several police seizures or money confiscated from October 1996, October 1997, September 1999, October 2001, January 2001, March 16, 2004, or 2005 traffic stops. What happened to the collections? None of the attorneys deposed the alleged drivers, the police officers or other witnesses involved in these alleged traffic stops to question their role in the stops, their communications with the alleged drivers of vehicles or whether the dollar amounts in question are accurate collections. The indictment fails to establish the Johnson brothers individually or in concert engaged in a continuing criminal enterprise.…

One thing I appreciated greatly in section 4 “The Corner”, in, “In cold Blood” by Truman Capote is how even though the story was concluding he still introduced new characters and their stories, continued to develop and show changes in Dick and Perry, and lastly forced me personally to ask if Dick and Perry were given a fair trial. Near the beginning of “The Corner”, Perry began to record his thoughts and daily occurrences while in jail. While this is not abnormal I feel like this was a way for Perry to express himself and block out the fact that he was alone except for his talks with Josephine Meier (Wife of the undersheriff). Dick on the other hand , true to his nature continued to act as if he was superior to everyone else and began to…

The defendant Lee Robinson is charged with manslaughter. As the defendants actions leading to the offence did not constitute acceptable behaviour and that the result ended up with a man loosing his life because of Mr. Lee Robinson actions the maximum penalty for manslaughter in the UK is a life sentence. Despite the severity of his crime in the criminal courts a defendant may be able to reduce their sentence by co-operating after the fact. In the Uk a life sentence is 20 years imprisonment before the defendant is eligible for parole. In certain cases the sentence for crimes may be reduced depending on certain factors and conditions.…

First and foremost, the whole experience is one that I could never forget. I realized that a criminal trail and a pretrial deferred greatly from all the arraignments that I have ever been to. An arraignment in the United States is the formal reading or presentation of charges against an individual as well as the stage where an individual enters a plea of guilty or not guilty. While a pretrial as stated earlier, is a proceeding that includes the judge, prosecutors and the defense attorney who are to access the facts or evidence of a case and decide whether or not they are going to be admissible during the real trial. While the arraignment and pretrial can be considered as the base of the whole trail process, the criminal trial itself is the foundation or house.…

On Friday, April 6, I attended the District of Columbia Superior Court in order to witness the criminal justice system at hand rather than in the classroom or by reading a textbook. I witnessed cases that involved prostitution and cases that involved knives. Moreover, I noticed that the judges were either a man or woman, sitting front and center of the courtroom as they were clothed with an official black robe. I was greeted at the courthouse by security and walked through a metal detector, making sure to take everything out of my pockets. I questioned security on where I can go to watch the trials.…

Learning about the legal environment in the classroom setting can be very interesting and exciting, but seeing a court in action is an entirely new learning experience. During my time spent at the Superior Court of Tolland at Rockville, I had the opportunity to observe multiple components of various court cases. Three cases that specifically stuck out to me were a criminal arraignment, jury selection, and a landlord/tenant dispute. Each of these cases had different elements that allowed me to develop a more comprehensive understanding of the United States legal system. The first case I witnessed was a domestic violence arraignment.…
