The first inspiration that heroes have is they are courageous in all situations. In the story with the monitor it says, “Theseus: I cannot flee. I must kill the monitor, or more young athenians will die.” (page 14). Theseus was the hero in this story. Even though the monitor has killed many people he wanted to go in the maze and defeat it just so no more people are killed. This is how he shows his act of couragousness. In the monitor story it said, ““Theseus: You can't change my mind it is my duty to save other people.” (page 14). In the superhero story it says, ““When we watch Captain America stand up to a corrupt leader, we feel like maybe we can find the courage to stand up to that kid in school bullying our best friend.” (page 18). The third inspiration heros make on us is they remind us to put are heart in the right place and be as kind as we possibly can. In the monitor story it says, “Minos: The king sent his own son?
Theodosius: I volunteered” (page 14). Theseus wants to be better than his, kind of greedy, father. He puts his heart in the right place and tries to stop the terrible things that happen to his city. In the superhero story it said, “They risk their own lives to protect the innocent and vulnerable, often against seemingly impossible odds.” (page 18). These superheros are so kind and definitely have their hearts in the right place. Instead of using their special powers on themselves they use them
