Superheros And Mythological Characters In Greek Mythology

Superheros and the mythological characters in stories inspire us to be our better selves in several ways. Superheros help us to help others, be courageous and that their is always something we can do to help and we are not powerless and we can make a change. In the stories ¨Into the Maze of Doom¨ and ¨What's With These Guys¨ they taught me Superheros help us to help others and save lives. One way I found was on pg.14 of ¨Into the Maze of Doom¨ that specifically stated ¨You can't change my mind, it´s my duty to save our people.¨ Another quote I found from ¨What's With These Guys¨ on pg.18 stated ¨They risk their own lives to protect the innocent and vulnerable, often against seeming impossible odds.¨ Both of these quotes go along with how …show more content…
You can find a good example of this on page 18 in ¨What's With These Guys¨ when they said ¨Our world has big problems:Terrorism, war, disease. It´s easy to feel overwhelmed and powerless. And so we look at the amazing world of superheros , where one mighty individual can rescue the entire planet.´´(18) Even with all of these bad things happening superheros make us have strength and make us think we are not powerless.

FInally,Even if they do not get anything back they do it for their people. If they don't get paid their reward is being able to help save their people. On pg. 16 the spirit said to Theseus ¨´´Oh Theseus, you have chosen to be a hero. You will be a great man.¨ This relates to to the quote on pg. 18 that stated ¨In other words, super heroes inspire us to be our better selves, to stand up for what's right-even if we get nothing in return.¨ The reward they get is being able to know you saved hundreds of people.

In conclusion, you can see that all of theses are the reasons why super heroes inspire us to be our better selves in everything we do. They also help us to help others, be courageous and that their is always something we can do to help and we are not powerless and we can make a
