The moral presented is this: always do what is right, never sacrifice a good deed to flirt with temptation. At a young age, children should be taught what is right and what is wrong. Children need a role model to help shape them into respectful abiding citizens. At a young age children imitate the behavior of their parents or guardians. If the parents are aggressive or violent, then the child has a likely chance of developing similar behavior. This is commonly known as copycat behavior or parroting (repeat dialogue). Spider-man’s ideology and morals lead him to help rid the city of crime. This takes us into the learning theory; which is described how information is absorbed, processed, and retained during learning. In children, the learning theory helps us see how they are influenced by Spider-man. Since they see him doing the right thing and helping keep everyone safe they retain his actions. They try to do the same thing because he is their hero. They also now have the motivation to try to be helpful. Now that their idol is saving people, they want to be just like him someday. Looking at the learning theory, Spider-man is a good idol because he helps children stay on track and do the right thing just like

Moreover, “it must be done out of concern for what is morally right, not out of self-serving motive.” In applying this concept to the action of both the young man and his father, I believe that both men did what was morally good. Everyone is different, each with individual opinions on what is morally acceptable. Therefore, there are many standpoints people have about the morals of superheroes. Skoble asserts that “the main question is not whether we as ordinary people would be prepared to do what a superhero might have to do…” (39). Instead, Skoble believes the more important question to ask is whether or not they can keep the world under control without a figure stepping out of moral standards to “save” the world. From this, Skoble responds to all differences regarding the immorality of superheroes and redirects the question to why superheroes are needed in the first place.…

Superhero movies would not be as popular now if it were not for the technological advancement use of color, green screens, lightweight cameras and smaller recording devices, the dolly system and steadicam, and the internet which have been added to the movie production process.…

The term “super-hero” dates back to 1917. The word means someone who expresses extraordinary talents, supernatural phenomena, or superhuman powers and is dedicated to a moral goal or protecting the public. People do not require actual powers to be deemed superheroes. For example: a police officer may save 10 people from a burning building and be considered a super-hero; although, he does not have powers. Some superheroes use their powers to counter day-to-day crime while combating threats against humanity by super-villains, their criminal counterparts.…

Superheros and the mythological characters in stories inspire us to be our better selves in several ways. Superheros help us to help others, be courageous and that their is always something we can do to help and we are not powerless and we can make a change. In the stories ¨Into the Maze of Doom¨ and ¨What's With These Guys¨ they taught me Superheros help us to help others and save lives. One way I found was on pg.14 of ¨Into the Maze of Doom¨ that specifically stated ¨You can't change my mind, it´s my duty to save our people.¨…

Superheroes get defensive The first thing one notices about a superhero is their looks for example they are tall, muscular, handsome, having nice hair etc. And with being a child you want to grow up and look like that, but realistically one cannot achieve those dreams without drugs to assist you. A child will grow up constantly trying to change themselves so they can be happy, but if they continuously try then they will never be truly happy with themselves. “attractiveness judgements people who walk in a genre atypical manner,.. are judged to be less attractive” (Johnson, Lurye, Freeman 232).…

“Superheroes build independence, citizens are dependent on superheroes.” Whether you want to believe that is up to you right? For me I choose not to believe that because superheroes are not independent whether its batman or a family member, even a friend. For example, Batman has Alfred or his sidekick Robin, which are his support. Everyone needs support during games, doing homework or even change your perspective on the world.…

“The Pro-Social Mission” If you think about what a superhero means to you, many answers may fly around like bravery, strength, or power. Very rarely do you ever hear about what exactly makes a superhero, super. In my opinion, I believe it is this pro-social mission that keeps them going on the never ending battle against the fight with evil. A hero can have as many powers or identities that they want to have, but the most important component of their being is that they have a specific goal in mind that will work for the greater good of not only the world, but the entire universe. These other two qualities, power and identity just reinforce who the superhero is.…

Some people do not know that they are even someone’s hero. When a person has the power to stand strong and fight for what they believe in they too can be a hero. These are the type of people that give others hope and save lives each and every day. You do not have to have super powers to save someone, you do not have to be in a position or a career where the main goal is to save someone’s life such as a doctor, a policeman or a firefighter. Heroes can be everyday people, such as a teacher; who teaches kids the everyday essentials of life to grow and be a better person, a parent; who guides and raise their children and protect their children, and even a janitor or trash man; people that help keep the environment clean for our safety and…
