Avengers. One of the reasons for the persistence of the Superhero meme could be the human
desire to feel closer to God. So while the place for God meme is already occupied by a all
knowing, omnipresent etc etc personality, the Superhero meme is the second fiddle to the God
meme. So, if Zeus was a full-fledged God, the Olympians of Mount Olympus are just one step
below him, as his children and demigods, humans, yet superior to them, not exactly God, but
can challenge and go to war with him.
