Super Strict Parenting Styles

Parenting Styles: Which One is The Right One “Parents can only give advice or put them on the right paths, but the final forming of a person’s character lies in their own hands.” (Anne Frank) There are many different types of a parenting styles, but two of the most common are the “super strict” and “loosely laid back.” Although kids grow up to be whoever they want to be, parents have a major influence in the character development of their children. One way to assist in the development of children is through the super strict parenting style. While the loosely laid back style may give children freedom, it leaves room for error; in contrast, the super strict style leaves children with no room for error. Parents who enforce a strict policy typically set a list of standards that will result in punishment if their child does not abide by them. This parenting style is a very influential way to raise a child because it teaches him or her how to follow all rules that he or she is given. Both the super strict and loosely laid back parenting styles engage in a list of demands, but they have different ways of requiring obedience. While the super strict parent may keep their child from going out on a Friday night to ensure his or her safety, the loosely laid back parent may let their child go out just to see if their child proves he or she is trustworthy. Some people may think it is cruel for the super strict parent not to let their child go out, but containing some of their child’s freedom may be the very thing that assists in a positive future for the child’s life.
