A blizzard is a snowstorm that contains high winds and usually lasts for three hours. Three of us decided to ride out the storm because we knew that if we didn't stay, we could never get to the station because of the roads. One of my co-workers decided she wanted to go home during the height of the storm. My boss and I stopped her before she could get out the door. She would have never made it home safely, even though she lived less than a half mile away. Interestingly, I called the storm on the Monday before it hit.
