Without Dez Bryant, the Dallas Cowboys' offense has been crippled In hopes to improve an offense that’s struggling, the Dallas Cowboys, who’ve been snake bitten with injuries, have made a change at quarterback. Without quarterback Tony Romo, their four-time Pro Bowler and all-time franchise leading passer, the Cowboys were forced to roll with the arm of backup Brandon Weeden, after Romo fractured his left clavicle against the Eagles in Week 2. In three starts, Weeden completed 71 of 98 attempts, completing 72.4 percent of his passes. That looks sexy on paper, but with Weeden under center, Dallas’ passing game didn’t generate plays beyond intermediate distances to stretch opposing defenses for big plays.…

The Buccaneers haven’t exactly kept it a secret that they will spend a lot of time this season running a no-huddle, hurry-up offense. Second year quarterback Jameis Winston and the Bucs offense put together their best game of the preseason against the Cleveland Browns when Tampa ran out of the no-huddle every play the starters were on the field. Head coach Dirk Koetter surely couldn’t expect to use the hurry-up approach that much in a regular season game, could he? Winston and the offense have all said they would rather operate out of the no-huddle system.…

The fact is that learning about sports couldn’t have come with a more influential sports mind than Peyton Manning. Peyton is considered one of the great quarterbacks, who dominated an era of NFL football as he won a Super bowl and several MVP trophies. I had the pleasure this summer to be invited to the Argus Leader South Dakota Sports Awards Banquet, where Mr. Manning was the guest speaker. Through the course of two hours my idea of life and sports in general changed instantly.…

11:00 am I wake up to a perfectly clean room with a perfect breakfast: sausage, pancakes, bacon, and cinnamon rolls all sitting right next to my bed. I eat my breakfast and get ready for the day. I go downstairs to see my friends Austen, Zach, and Elias down there holding four tickets to the Super Bowl game tonight and a jet sitting outside in the field. I had slept in a little past what we had planned on leaving by but it didn’t matter too much we still had plenty of time to do what we wanted to.…

When negotiating this new deal with the NFL for Sunday Night Football (SNF), it is important to consider three things: the cost vs. the benefits of having SNF, alternative sports/programming that would provide similar or greater benefits that SNF currently provides, and the rise of streaming and cord-cutting. Obviously, NBC Sports would like to keep SNF. Currently, NBC pays $950 million per year for its SNF package (Sandomir, 2016). In the past, it has been a lucrative advertising program for NBC.…
