This Commercial represents the text that emphasizes on the argument that domestic violence is wrong, thus, a devastating problem that affects everyone. The visual and audio communication, complements the claim that the text is attempting to convey to viewers. This medium is undoubtfully the most suitable, as in today’s society technology plays a major role in the transmission of information. Commercials as we know, are fundamental to social media, thus, making it the best way to advocate any cause, additionally, to create a connection with not one, but a vast audience.
As this commercial has made headlines and will air on national television during the Super Bowl, it targets everyone and anyone as mentioned before, regardless of age, sex, religion, race, creed, and culture. Although, with recent allegations of domestic violence issues revolving around National Football League players, thus, the representation that clearly portrays the female as the victim in the commercial, one would only suggest that the text is considerably reaching out to the male population. The viewer’s perception, thus, response to the argument, may very well be influenced by many factors; in some cultures and or religions it is the norm that the male elicits his authority over the female through physical control, perhaps a learned behavior,
