Super Bowl 50 Commercial

In my opinion, the best commercial of Super Bowl Fifty was the NFL’s Super Bowl Babies commercial. This commercial caught my attention because of the message behind the advertisement. The message that “Football is Family,” resonates with the viewers because it shows that the National Football League cares about more than just the business side of their corporation. Super Bowl Babies commercial showed that the NFL has a set of morals behind their business that are family friendly and a good influence on the American people.
The worst commercial of Super Bowl 50 was the LG commercial featuring Liam Neeson. This form of advertisement was done poorly because the viewer got caught up in the abstract talk of Liam instead of the product that LG was

First published on Youtube on October 7th 2015, “Extra Gum: the story of Sarah and Juan”, is an advertisement that has become shared and viewed by many people on the internet due to it’s sweet interpretation of a young couples love story. In 1984, Extra was Wrigley's Company first ever sugar free product and became one of the most popular brands of chewing gum. The commercial begins in a high school setting where two young teenagers notice each other and are attracted the instant they exchanged glances. Soon after, the commercial shows Juan helping Sarah with her books and sharing gum together for the very first time. From simple night talks in the car, park dates, to prom night together, at some point they always seem to take out a Extra Gum…

Panting with acceptance, he stared into the cameras as he had done many times before. Mr. Quiggly won the approval and affection of many Americans that night, but that was all gone now. The wars that raged on for the little shreds of time for which were known as the Super Bowl Commercials left even the quickest of French bulldogs in the dust for better breeds. Harder drinks soon replaced the water, which usually filled his bowl, to numb his pain.…

During the Superbowl two commercials caught my eye. Those commercials we called lumber and #WeAccept. The we accept commercials was a series of different faces put together to make on face and as all the faces are change texts comes over that says that no matter who you are or who you love or even who you worship you belong. The lumber commercial was about a girl and her mom who seemed to be refugees and you see this mom and girl travel to different spots and every different spot the little girl finds cloth or a piece of plastic. Then at the end of the commercials the mom and girl are sitting by a fire and the little girl is making something out of the cloth and plastic and the tell you to go to their website to find out what happens.…

In the Chipotle super bowl ad, there is a wave of depressing feelings being portrayed as the ad shows a farmer, who has just started a family, and seems like a nice guy that soon turns into a farmer that begins caging up all of these farm animals and injecting chemicals and other inhumane things into them. Luckily, the farmer comes to a realization towards the end as to what he has done and is able to 'save' the farm animals by undoing all the horrible things he began doing in the beginning. I believe the purpose of this ad is to get its audience to eat at Chipotle or to make their audience remember Chipotle so that when they are hungry, Chipotle is one of the first places they think of. This ads audience is families and people who are opposed…

Super Bowl advertisements are famous for their elaborate productions and are often are more talked about than the event itself. These commercials have become cultural touchstones, but the advertisements have one job and that is to convince a potential customer to buy or use a company’s product or service. The Weight Watchers advertisement is a perfect example of how effective advertisements can be in only a few short seconds. What this commercial is really selling underneath its veneer of supposed helpfulness is emotional manipulation as it preys on people’s insecurities regarding their weight and shame them for eating food that may not be considered healthy. The primary audience for this kind of ad are people who emotionally vulnerable and…

I chose to examine a Bud Light Super Bowl commercial that was aired in 2011. When I started the assignment I thought that there was not much more than met the eye when it came to the meaning of the commercial. Once again I thought that I was going to struggle to get to the required page length. I used what we talked about in class like the rhetorical situation and audience to examine the commercial instead of just watching it without a purpose. Looking at the advertisement through this different lens, I could see how everything that Bud Light did in the commercial from product placement to the setting of the ad all was done for a specific purpose.…

The LG That is For Me There has never been a more vivid commercial to sell a washing machine than this commercial released by LG. In LG’s commercial, it starts with clothes doing a sort of dance battle, demonstrating that whites and colors do not get along in the same washing machine. With the convenience of this new washing machine, you do not have to worry about battling with the decision of which load to do first, because whites go in one barrel and colors go in a separate barrel, running simultaneously. LG is a brand that is all about efficiency and convenience.…

Of all the 2016 Super Bowl commercials, the commercial I have concluded the most effective is the Hyundai commercial with Kevin Hart. However, effective is a subjective word in this case, but the criteria used in my perspective of it is that the commercial created a connection with the viewer, was able to be memorable, and set itself apart as more than “just a product”. Through a mix of storytelling, playfulness, and outrageous acts; Hyundai was able to achieve and surpass those criteria. The first thing that many people, from peers to big companies, pointed out about the Hyundai commercial was Kevin Hart. Hart is an extremely recognizable star for his hilarious comedy and his playful personality.…

In the ad there is a small child who see’s the disgruntled mean Joe walking into the locker room and decides to offer him a bottle of Coca-Cola. This is an excellent use of pathos. The people watching this ad are more than likely going to feel bad for mean joe limping into the locker room despite his reputation as one of the biggest and meanest players in the NFL. Then to see this child offer him a coke; the audience has no choice but to say “aww, that’s so sweet!” Mean joe declines at first of course such is common courtesy, but then the child makes repeated offerings to Joe.…

My personal opinion is that even though these commercials are annoying, most of the message get across viewers. For example “after 911 call 411 pain” and so many others alike stick with you once you hear them over and over. It is my opinion that the effectiveness of these commercials depends on how well they are made. Some of them make anyone laugh and others make you get out of the chair and walk away. How well people take the message of an annoying commercial depends on the type of audience, culture and other characteristics that make a viewer unique.…
