From the perspective of me as a child I was already madly in love with this piece. Now, from the perspective of a college student who has only a little background knowledge about all of the elements and principles of design that bring this piece together, I am even more in love with the painting. The way that Seurat uses only dabs and dots to paint the entire piece but yet is still able to take advantage of perspective, vertical and horizontal lines and even more elements is astounding to me. I cannot even begin to imagine how focused and precise he must have been to be able to achieve all that he has done. And in my personal opinion and well as probably the opinion of many others, this is a true piece of art that deserves all of the recognition and fame that it receives if not even
