[C]Hard snow (Ice later learned was called hail) ricocheted off near trees and bounced off the cold, solid earth. While the cold, stone like objects pelted the wolf's mud stained fur and formed red marks on her pink skin, Ice thought of one thing. One miserable thing...

[C]"What if I don't have enough food fo-" She paused her whisper to herself to wince as an especially big pellet dig into her sensitive flesh. Letting out a long, remorseful sigh, the large canine continued. "If I don't get enough food stocked up in my den by the 7th day of the Sun Dog's journey, I don't think I'll make it through winter..."

A Bush shakes, making all sorts of noises and the wolf jumps. Skittish because of the anticipation that something- someone, would try to kill her. She stops halfway through her next step. Cowering in fear at the sight later out before her. Piles among piles of rotted, dead animals (ranging from coyotes to field mice) were stacked one over the other. As far as she could she with her glowing, yellow eyes, the groupings never ended. And it only took moments before the acrid stench caused Ice to recoil in disgust. Finding her footing, she swing around, desperate to find an escape for this horror. She turned in all possible directions, but the snowy forest seemed to thicken with trees as if trying to keep the line dog trapped in the clearing. Fear spread through her head as she thought of spending an eternity 29th all the rotting flesh. A howl of despise, fear, and regret silenced the eerie night. She needed to get out. But, how?

[C]Ice awoke with a start, her heart racing as if trying to escape her chest. She calmed down after a while noticing the break of daylight coming through the entrance and cracks of the cave.

[C]That nightmare wasnt built off the tension she had been feeling. It was a sign- a warning- from the spirit dog's. For what? She didn't know, not a single idea. But, as she exited the den, her mind was made up... She was gonna find out, one way or the
