I work for Summit Health and Rehab. Summit Health and Rehab has a policy to not do performance evaluations. In the past they have did performance evaluations, but they currently do not do any type of performance evaluations. Although, Summit does not do formal employees’ evaluations employees’ skills and behaviors are observed. If an unacceptable behavior is observed, the behavior is addressed and the appropriate action is taken.
Each facility has a policy and procedure hand book and every employee is required to read and adhere it. When an employee is first hired he/she has to read and sign a job description statement explaining his/hers job duties. Some of the policies that are in placed includes documentation requirements, supervision
