I used to love writing stories when I was younger. I recall being in first grade and having a writer’s workshop every Wednesday and Friday. Those were my favorite days throughout my first grade year. I wrote stories about everything! I remember a couple; I had one on the big cats of Africa, I had a series I made up and the character names were Casey, Alex, and Jack, and I also wrote a book about rainbows and leprechauns. After we finished a chapter, everyone in the class would have to have the spelling and punctuation checked by our teacher Mrs. Berosie. If you did a good job and didn’t have more than ten mistakes, then you got a handful of red hots (the little red cinnamon candies). Those quickly became my favorite candy and I would try to finish chapters and start new books as soon as I could just to get more candy. That’s when writing was
