Summary: Varsity Team

Decent Essays
I agree Sara, great team is where the coaches are able to foster an environment that all the teammates to grow, learn, and work together. One simple solution could have been Coach P stepping up and selecting a leader or two, and letting the team know regardless of their personal biases, in order to be on the Varsity team, they will have to get rid of their ego's and come together collectively for the greater good of the team. I understand Coach P wanted to empower his crew members to figure it our themselves, but at what point do you be the coach and create a solution for the problem. I believe he waited too late to try to make adjustments, being 4 days away from nationals, it's hard to change the dynamics up of the team and expect them to

Very similar to the first time they played Kingman this season, losing 34-46. The girls played at home and started off behind in the first quarter, 10-4. They stayed with Kingman through the second quarter with both teams scoring 11 points to end the half 15-21. My most significant leadership experience would be when I was in the Girls Varsity Tennis Team. I had been in the tennis team during my highschool years, for 2 years. During that time I learned a lot about being a leader, such as what it means to lead others, and what qualities a leader should have. When I first started playing tennis I started at the position on 2nd doubles, to me I took it as that I was not good enough to play against an opponent by myself on the court. Which was entirely true, because when I began playing I was not any good whatsoever.…

In my view, Coach P should try a combination of options to improve Varsity’s performance. First option is to improve team morale and spirit by motivating them towards a common team goal. Secondly, help resolve the conflicts within team members so that they are comfortable communicating with each other. As the National championship is due to start in just four days and with this short time constraint, the idea of switching teams seems a viable option.…
