Visible diversity can be seen on the outside of an individual by another. You can see the color of the skin, see age in the faces of others, and visible see and hear the gender of a person. These types of diversity are used in stereotyping a lot and cause countless issues within a groups settings. Some with age cannot do what younger ones can whereas they can do a lot of different things better. This is where a leader needs to put whomever is better at a certain task in their proper places to prevent this prejudice before it starts. Then there is gender. This is a huge diversity with homophobia on the rise in this world due to lesbians and gays are finally beginning to be accepted more openly in society and in the work place. Well let’s say, by those past the millennial age group setting. What I just said could be taken as a prejudice in itself; however, I am simply starting a fact, I see daily in my very office. I see no color and I see no different in a sexual preference. As I see it you are born to be who you are. I notice that the millennials accept everyone for who they are more so, than any of the older age status; whereas, this is a taboo. Where attitudes, past experiences, personal beliefs, and personalities come into play. In the team dynamics personalities can clash largely if you do not have the proper balance of your different personality’s types. You need most of the group to be agreeable; yet, you need some in there to properly challenge the others to increase creative thinking and progress. Within the group you want knowledge from all avenues to increase your chances of success, such as some with a IT state of mind, some with a very creative imagination and ones that can actually see a new way (“Diversity On The Job: The Importance Of Diversity And The Changing Workplace”, n.d.). Diversity in this aspect is a good things, if we were all the same it would be a quite boring world with little gain as no one would be there to challenge of the minds or worse yet all, would be that one to challenge of the minds resulting in constant head butting; thus, neither gaining any
