Summary: The US Should Fund NASA

Ever since the beginning of the program, people have been debating on whether or not the US should fund NASA. They do this in the hopes that their tax dollars could go to something else, such as free health care or free universities. They believe NASA is a waste of time as well as resources and that humans should be focused on the people of Earth—not the stars. When really, NASA is a crucial part of the world humans live in; therefore, NASA’s budget should stay the same if not increased. This is because NASA betters people's lives and even saves some. Furthermore, it benefits the economy through innovation and provides jobs for the talented. Finally, NASA inspires generations to come as well as stokes the desire for exploration and fuels imagination.

Secondly, it benefits the economy by fostering new industries through innovation and providing jobs to many talented Americans.
