Ingsoc overpowers the beliefs that would contradict and say otherwise of its statements. Without any opposing views, The citizens have nothing to trust, but the Party; allowing the Party to keep a strong hold of power. The statements included in Ingsoc encourages individuals of Oceania interpret that the Party as the best and Eurasia as well as Eastasia as evil. An example would be the “proletarians”, low class citizens that are under the Party’s control; brainwashed by Ingsoc to follow the Party’s every command. Also due to Ingsoc, the citizens of Oceania are very patriotic. The proles do not know very much about the war.
