“Greasers- Poor/Regular Teens” “Socs- Rich/High class Teens”
Anthony Rizzo the first baseman on the Cubs is a team player because he does his responsibility on the field. Not only does he do his responsibilities he also donates to charity, and this reveals that he is very warm hearted to others. Another person that relates to him is Dally, Dally Winston he takes care of his gang, and does what needs to be done. The Outsiders is a significantly great book made in 1967. The book of the Outsiders was made at this time during segregation on purpose. Instead of using the real social segregation (whites and blacks) they use two other groups to show what was happening in this time frame. The book divided citizens into two different social classes. The Socs and the Greasers. The book tells a lot of conflict between the two. First of all, I know that Dally is a team player because in this book it shows that he finishes what he starts, cares about his gang, and how he is very smart. Back in the time frame of segregation you needed to keep your gang/family safe, it’s not safe to be alone!

Dally is very smart. I know that Dally is smart because he knows how to deal with the fuzz. For example, In chapter 9 when Ponyboy and Dally were rushing to the hospital to see Johnny after the rumble the fuz pulled them over. Instead of taking the ticket or whatever the fuz was going to give them he played it smooth, by using Ponyboy. He said “ Pony, act like you crashed your motorcycle and i'm taking you to the hospital”. The cop came to the window and Dally said “ I was driving by when I saw this kid laying on the ground, so i'm taking him to the hospital”. The Cop believed the story and they rushed to the hospital to see Johnny. So, it is evident that Dally is smart because he's smooth with the
