Factors that contributed to the Chinese Exclusion Act were based on bringing an end to Chinese coming into America. Many Chinese didn’t fall into this category because they were still able to come into America without any problems. That is why many parents and grandparents don’t tell their families where they came from because of the fear they have of being found by the government and being deported. Yes, they still affect the Chinese American communities today because what the Paper Sons and Paper Daughters had to go through is not something that they can easily erase from their minds. Yes other immigrants and minority groups share the similar stores such as the low classed white people and African Americans.
