As this incident shows, anyone's life can be changed in a split second. We should not take life for granted, but instead cherish every minute of our life.

Earlier that night, Ted had attended a party at a cottage on an island known as, Martha’s Vineyard. He and five other married men met with about six “boiler room girls”, the name given to the clutch of unmarried campaign strategists, including one by the name of Mary Jo Kopechne. (Lynch)

During the party, Ted decided that he would drive Mary Jo back to the ferry, so that she would make it back to her hotel safely (Lynch). While Ted was driving he took a wrong turn onto Dike Road (Clymer 145). He then came upon an extremely dark, unlit bridge, which curved to the left (Lynch). He drove his Oldsmobile right off the bridge and into the pond up under it (Clymer 145). Ted managed to escape from the car, and he tried to rescue Mary Jo, but after diving for her several times he gave up. (Clymer 145).

Olivia Plunkett Mr. Reader Impeachment 27 April 2015 After the Watergate scandal, former President Nixon was brought up on impeachment charges due to his involvement in the scandal. Many citizens called for the removal of Nixon from office, and he was brought up on impeachment charges, but resigned before there were any trials. According to the Constitution, a president “shall be removed from office for, and on conviction of, treason, bribery, or other high crimes and misdemeanors.” Under these terms, I believe that the accusations against President Nixon were impeachable crimes due to not having the interest of the citizens in full mind.…

It wasn’t the actual burglary that ended Nixon’s presidency, but his extreme effort to cover up White House involvement. John Dean, Nixon’s attorney for the scandal, who eventually turned against him in order to save his own reputation and career, wrote The Nixon Defense: What He Knew and When He Knew it , which focuses entirely on the Watergate scandal, explained that The Washington Post, particularly reporters Bob Woodward and Carl Bernstein were some of the top names on Nixon’s “Enemy List” because they had a “collective mind-set at the Post, that Nixon & Company were somehow complicit in Watergate,” and relentlessly dragged him…

The word also represents the political scandal that brought down Richard Nixon's presidency and caused him to resign. However, he did not resign on his own, he resigned following impeachment charges brought against him. This left many wondering whether Nixon could actually be impeached by Congress for his crimes. Impeachable offenses are outlined in the United States Constitution article 4 section 2.…

Even though both universities are involved in sexual assault scandals, when comparing both Penn State and Baylor university's cases I came to the conclusion that there should be a difference in disciplinary action. Reviewing Penn State scandal, on November 4, 2011, a grand jury report was released containing testimony that former Penn State defensive coordinator Jerry Sandusky sexually abused eight young boys over a period of at least 15 years. On July 23, 2012, The NCAA announces a $60 million fine against Penn State and bans the team from the post season for four years. Additionally, the school must vacate all wins from 1998-2011, and will lose 20 football scholarships a year for four seasons. On September 9th, 2016 I was a passenger in rear-end car accident. At the young age of seventeen, I was ignorant, rebellious and negligent. At this time, I honestly believed that I knew it all and was always in the right; I would ignore anyone trying to guide me towards the right path or give me advice. As in the short story “Rain of Fire” by Evan Thomas, I would have never expected that a regular day could end up in such catastrophe. I learned not to trust those whom I have not gotten to know well enough.…
