The company I work for instituted an endeavor called TQ-20. This is effort for our company to enter into the top 20% quartile by the year 2020. Our company has always monitored and tracked sales, however our company is training and upgrading our Supply Chain personnel to become more responsive to our facilities. Instead of purchasing materials when ordered, they are now using forecasting to predict and purchase materials. This is a large endeavor which will take over 5 years and estimated to cost ~$250 million dollars. These changes are expected to pay our company back by the year 2020 through increased power generation and reduced operating costs.
