Summary: Should America Convert To The Metric System

Should America Convert to the Metric System? About what percent of the world doesn’t use the metric system? There are two different measuring systems and they use different measurement sizes. The United States doesn’t use the metric like the majority of the world we just haven’t switched over yet. A few reasons that we should use it is because we’re one of the only one’s in the world who don’t use it, it will be easier for manufacturing products to other countries, it is easier to understand,. There are many reasons why, but these are the few that were the most common factors. Most of the world uses the metric system, also known as the SI system has a usage percent of about 95 percent. “The United Kingdom and the United States are the two largest countries that haven’t fully converted to the metric system,”(Ivy Tech). What this is saying is that these two countries have tried converting but haven't. The sooner that both do the other countries are more likely to follow. Also, this will make each company so much less complicated. Several times, companies have thought of making their company used the metric system. This is because they get better trades and more customers that way.
